Greetings from Colorado!

Across our society, we’ve been hard at work to bring you new programming, new ideas, and new awards at a new location while honoring our fundamental roots in arterial function. While I won’t spoil all the fun yet, I can guarantee you that you won’t want to miss all that we have planned in 2024 starting with the highlights below:

1) Did you hear? There are New Kids on the (NAA) Block. Our inaugural Early Investigator Committee is hosting two virtual symposiums on Feb 14th and 28th: ‘New Kids on the Block: Emerging Contributors to Vascular Function’ and ‘Mitigating Stiffness in the Lab and Your Career’. These sessions are a great opportunity to hear from the leaders and rising stars of our field. Not sure what arterial stiffness is? We have a tutorial lecture for you! Want to learn about different career options? You won’t want to miss our career development session. Check out the program NOW and REGISTER FOR FREE.

2) NAA2024 State of the Art(ery): Mechanisms and Prevention of Early Vascular Aging. You won’t want to sleep on this meeting. You might just be exposed to cutting edge technology, methods and sex(y) topics for studying aging that are out of this world.

3) Colorado in June. Enough said.

4) Did I hear a rumor that there is a brand-new award mechanism debuting in summer 2024????

On a personal level, it is my great privilege to help host this meeting and I can’t wait to share our wonderful campus at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus with you. I first attended NAA in 2014 as a Master’s student in Gary Pierce’s lab and consider myself lucky to have ‘grown up’ in this society for the past 10 years, finding both my postdoctoral fellowship and faculty position through this society. We have a saying on our campus, that here, the possibilities are endless. Whether you’re attending for the first time as a trainee or celebrating your aluminum anniversary (or more!) with NAA, I know the possibilities you will gain from this society are endless.

See you soon,
