From the NAA President…

Welcome to North American Artery (NAA), a vibrant community dedicated to advancing scientific discovery, fostering collaboration, and promoting the exchange of knowledge in the field of arterial structure and function. Whether you are an established researcher, an early-career scientist, or simply passionate about arterial research, NAA welcomes you to interact with other individuals committed to discovery, excellence and innovation. Over the last decade across North America, the NAA community has led the exchange and generation of new of knowledge in the important topic of arterial hemodynamic function, as well as the clinical consequences of early vascular aging.

At NAA, we strive to support and inspire our members through conferences, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives. Our Early Investigator Committee (EIC) continues to lead multiple activities, including regular virtual symposia about important topics in the field. If you are an early-career investigator, please join us and reach out to the EIC Co-Chairs about our scientific activities and career development opportunities. In addition to scientific activities for our US and Canadian members, NAA will soon initiate international outreach activities, including membership, career-development and leadership opportunities for Latin American scientists.

I invite you to become a member of NAA today. As we continue to grow and evolve, please engage actively with our society: participate in our in-person and virtual scientific sessions, share your research, and collaborate with peers in this field. Your contributions are what make this community thrive, and together, we will continue to drive scientific progress forward.

I also invite you to join us for our NAA 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting, which will take place at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia on June 27th-28th, 2025. Our meeting brings together renowned scientists focused on arterial and vascular function, including clinicians, physiologists, epidemiologists and engineers. Our multidisciplinary meeting is a wonderful opportunity to interact with the North American arterial research community.

Thank you for being a part of NAA. I look forward to an exciting journey ahead!
